Yes! the ProPoint Neck Trainers have been registered with the TGA and are classed as a medical device. There are defined as a biofeedback device for treating Neck pain, Headaches, Symptoms of whiplash, dizziness and shoulder pain.
Is the Pondera2 Balance software a medical device?
No! The Pondera2 software is designed for tracking balance and is not designed to be a medical device. It is similar to the fittness / step counters in your smart watch or the heart rate tracker with your phone. The Pondera2 software gives its users information about how much they sway and the breakdown in terms of vestibular, proprioceptive and ocular systems to help guide their training. It is not meant to diagnose or treat any medical conditions.
